A classical audition is required of all applicants who plan to pursue one of the following options in our Conservatory of Music...

• A major in music either under the Bachelor of Music degree program, the Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Music double-degree program, or the Bachelor of Arts with a general major in music.  Regardless of which major you plan to pursue (Music Performance, Music Education, or Theory/Composition) you are required to audition on your primary instrument or voice part.
• Non-music major lessons provided free-of-charge as part of the Ensemble Award

Jazz auditions

Students interested in performing an on-campus jazz audition need to register for two auditions (one classical and one jazz). However, exceptions include the following...

• Ensemble Award jazz auditionees are not required to perform a classical audition.
• Vocal Jazz auditionees...we do not offer Vocal Jazz auditions on campus - you will need to submit a self-recorded audition. 

To register for an audition, please complete the following form - you cannot audition at Lawrence without submitting a completed registration form in advance of your audition.
